Now with two locations to better serve you, Atascocita and Kingwood, Care For Women caters to your comfort and privacy in a positive and serene environment. Dr. Kavita Mahajan-Merritt, D.O., FACOG | Bachelor’s: Biology, Trinity University in San Antonio Master’s: Biology, University of Texas at San Antonio MD: Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences Residency: St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH Board Certified: American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Dr. Kavita Mahajan-Merritt is a native of Houston, Texas. A 1997 graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, she completed her B.S in biology with a minor in religion. Following her undergraduate years, she pursued her research interest with Air Force Research Laboratories and concurrently completed her M.S. in biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Mahajan-Merritt studied medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences- College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2005. She is a recent 2009 graduate from her residency training in Ob/Gyn (St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH.) Professional interests include obstetrics, preventive medicine, office gynecology and minimally invasive surgery. She enjoys educating her patients to help them better understand their health issues. She has lived abroad for many years and finds herself culturally sensitive to her patients’ needs. Personal interests include spending time with her husband, Bobby, and her family, as well as running, traveling, reading and music. |

Dr. Cindy Turco, M.D., FACOG | Bachelor: Biology and Chemistry, Florida State University, graduated magna cum laude. MD: Doctorate of Medicine, Florida State University, graduated with honors and awards, including induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Residency: University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Health Science Center, received the Outstanding Clinical Teaching Award, as well as the Women’s Services Choice Award for exceptional patient care. Board Certified: American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Cindy Turco, M.D., is native of South Florida. Proud of her dual heritage, she has volunteered with several community outreach projects with the goal of improving the health of Latina women, and she is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Turco’s professional interests include obstetrics, preventive medicine, office gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, management of menopause and its symptoms, management of the abnormal Pap smear tests, adolescent care, pregnancy care, and preventive health. She also focuses on counseling her patients on healthy lifestyle choices and preventive medicine. Dr. Turco’s personal interests include yoga, running, and spending time with her husband and child. |
Dr. Lyndsay Rodriguez, M.D. | Bachelor’s: Music, Abilene Christian University, Abilene, Texas MD: Texas A&M Health Science Center, Bryan, Texas Residency: Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, Odessa, Texas Member: American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Medical Association, Gold Humanism Honor Society, Texas Medical Association Junior Fellow: American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Dr. Rodriguez was born and raised in Texas. Her dream of becoming a doctor began as a child when her youngest cousin was hospitalized. She vowed to learn everything she could to help. This transformed into an earnest desire to pursue medicine. Since beginning her training, she was honored by induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her excellence in patient-centered medicine. She went on to receive a nomination for the ACOG Creighton L. Edwards, MD, Resident Award in Compassionate Care. When asked about her goals, she states, “I want to walk with you in tough moments, celebrate with you in joyful times, and work hand in hand with you to prevent medical problems in the future. I promise to treat you like family while partnering with you to provide exemplary and up-to-date medical treatment.” Her professional interests include minimally invasive surgery, obstetrics, preventive medicine, and comprehensive women’s health. Her hobbies include singing, ukulele, kayaking the bayou, and cheering on the Astros! |
Dr. Angela Adomako, MD, FACOG | Bachelor: Biology/Premed, Central Michigan University, Magna Cum Laude MD: Albany Medical College, NY Residency: Albany Medical Center, Albany / St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, NYC Board Certified: American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Member: Texas Medical Association Fellow: American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology Practicing as a Physician has always been my calling, but Women’s Health is my passion. While I come from a family that is very academic, I was also raised in an environment that fostered compassion and respect for others. It is my joy to care for young women from all backgrounds who are going through the various stages of their lives. I take the time to get to know my patients well, and listen to their concerns in order to better anticipate their needs and provide medical care to the best of my ability and training. Joining Care For Women is an amazing opportunity for me to practice in our community with an excellent team of providers with similar interests and a common mission.
